For carbon and chrome alloy spools requiring post weld heat treating (PWHT) after fabrication, Piping Systems, Inc. employs the professional services of third party subcontractors that are conveniently in close proximity to our shop. Our furnace sourcing can provide services from 1,600⁰F to 2,200⁰F x 50’ in length. Local heat treatments are performed in our shop using the electric resistance blanketing method. Both processes utilize multiple programmable control monitors, thermocouples, and charted recordings.
